About Me

Hi, I’m Asif.

I was born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, where I completed high school in 2005 and earned my bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2009. Shortly after graduation, I fulfilled a full year of military service — an experience that strengthened my discipline, structure, and resilience.

My journey then took me across continents. I moved to the United States as an international student before continuing my education in Canada, where I completed a postgraduate program in Marketing Management at Seneca College in Toronto — a city that later became one of my homes.

Today, I live in Ottawa with my family, in a quiet neighborhood near the Rideau Canal. Canada is home now.

Professionally, I transitioned from marketing into technology and eventually found my space in quality engineering and automation architecture. What started as curiosity evolved into building scalable automation systems for enterprise environments — designing frameworks, strengthening delivery pipelines, and engineering confidence into releases.

Beyond engineering, I value structure, discipline, and long-term thinking — principles shaped by both my early years and my professional path.

Outside of work, I’m a dedicated athlete at heart and a lifelong combat sports fan. I follow the UFC closely and admire the discipline, strategy, and mindset required at the highest level — qualities I respect both in sport and in engineering.
